How do I find a good chiropractor near me in Chicago?
Start with location, then narrow by what you actually need. Search your neighborhood or suburb above and you will get every chiropractor registered at an address in that area, with their phone number, the doctors who practice there, and what they are registered to treat.
From there, call two or three. Ask what a first visit costs, whether they take your insurance, and how many visits they expect. A practice that will not answer those questions on the phone is telling you something.
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor in Illinois?
No. Illinois is a direct-access state, so you can book a chiropractor yourself without a referral from a primary care doctor. Your insurance plan is a separate question — some plans still require a referral before they will pay, so check your benefits before your first visit.
How do I check that a chiropractor is actually licensed?
Look them up in two places. The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation keeps the public license file for every chiropractic physician in the state, including license status and any discipline on record.

No. Practices are listed in a fixed order that we do not sell. A practice can pay for a clearly labeled featured placement on its area page, and it is always marked as featured — but it never changes the order of the directory beneath it, and it never gets a practice added or removed.
What is the difference between a chiropractor and a physical therapist?
A chiropractor is a licensed physician who focuses on the spine and joints, mostly through manual adjustment. A physical therapist works on movement and strength through prescribed exercise and manual therapy. Plenty of Chicago practices register both at the same address, which is why some listings here show both.
